Valentine's Day -- everyone has different opinions on it. Some are all about the holiday with flowers and heart-shaped candy galore, and others not so much. Well at Vintage Charm we preach self-love and believe you don't need to be in a romantic relationship to celebrate the day. After all, the most important relationship in your life is the relationship you have with yourself. So no matter the plans, whether you have a dinner date with your S.O. or drinks with your best gals, do something that makes YOU feel amazing, starting with your makeup.
We have teamed up with professional makeup artist and founder of Morgan Marie Beauty, Morgan Bryne, to help you achieve the perfect date night makeup look. Morgan has worked with beauty giants such as Kiehl's, Smashbox, Dior and NARS, and has even done wedding makeup for a few of the VC ladies. Read below to learn how to do red lips with a gorgeous smokey eye. Classic, dramatic and romantic -- this look is a confidence booster that will have you looking and feeling your best on the 14th.
Apply your favorite primer then blend a soft bronze shadow from your lashline through your crease. With a deeper bronze tone and your blending brush, marry the two colors together through your natural crease and outer corner of your eye. Smudge the darker bronze along your lower lashline and add your favorite highlighter in the inner corner of your eye + on your brow bone. Finish the look with liner and mascara.
After priming your skin, apply the MMB HD foundation. I like to start towards the center of the face and blend outwards. Next, I apply the under eye brightener in a V shape under my eyes with the concealer brush and a little concealer if you have any places you need a touch more coverage. Use the powder brush to set with the translucent powder (comes in pressed or loose) and then add the 98 Degrees in the shape of a 3 through the perimeter of your face. Finish with a pop of a coral blush in the apples of your cheeks.
I like to fill my brows in with my angled liner brush and a dark brown brow shadow. The angled liner brush helps to mimic natural brow hairs for a defined but natural brow look.
